The mural, the BLOSSOMING OF BUDDHA executed in polished/ treated sand stone and silver metal sheet. Conquering the rooted instinct and realizing the oneness within and with the external, through mind culture(meditation), rationale and understanding, Buddha attains Enlightenment and at that moment he should have experienced a state
of eternal bliss and timelessness.

The present mural/ composition depicts the above concept and has been developed in those lines. The main events in the life of Buddha are his birth at kapilavastu, enlightenment at bodha gaya, first discourse at deer park sarnath and his parinirvana at kusinara. The timeless state has been represented with his visions of past and future events of his life all appearing in front of him at that moment. One can also see the later developments
like the stupas, the thoranas, etc, in the mural.

Immediately after that experience Buddha touches the earth below where he is seated to regain his material senses- this aspect is called Bhumisparisa Mudra which is also told to explain the underlying aspect of grounding of absolute knowledge, i.e, one is not free until he renounces the ego of acquired knowledge though he might renounce home, hearth and all his possessions.
