AFLOAT is a glass mural consisting of different clear glass panels of equal size as layers. The glass panels are spaced with an in-between distance of 3”. The basic technique is to separate/divide and transfer the whole composition (of mural) onto the different glass panels according to the depths in the composition of the mural.

The concept in using the above technique is to create a dynamic image. The dynamic image is obtained by the placement of the glass panels at relative distances to the moving observer. Each glass panel will have a part image of the main composition which shall be etched or acid treated and ultimately lit up from top or bottom.

Now the part images shall combine to form the whole composition. Only the images in the composition are high-lighted as all the glass panels are clear.

Theme: the mural forms a part of the bar area and the theme reflects the mood- a dream like, gravity less and free floating simple human figures as if floating in space, occupy the composition. The mood of the place and the booze and the lightened feeling/ experience finds its relationship with the above composition.
