VILAAS VENUE - 2005 - The circular mural on the ceiling - BHAMA KALAPAM is based on a ballet called Bhama Kalapam where in bhama is Satya Bhama who awaits her beloved Krishna. After a long passionate wait she gets disheartened, throws off her ornaments and her sringaar and turns moody. Now it’s the turn of Lord Krishna to convince her and to bring back to the normal spirits. At the end it’s always a happy re-union of the lover and her beloved. The mural is 350 sqft. in area and the narration is in the circular format connecting the different phases of the drama interestingly. The mural has been executed in nuwud, thick transparent paper( to get an unique texture)pasted onto the nuwud, and melamine paint.
