Mr. CHIRANJEVI's RESIDENCE

Krishna and gopis at the lotus pond- (Mr. Chiranjeevi’s residence,Hyd); -executed in Italian marble with level variations. Approxi size of the mural 20’x7’-6”. Date of completion is aug 2004.

Basically a composition in black and white with a bit of color, Krishna and gopis at the pond reveal that all the life forms including the Krishna and gopis are in harmony with nature and with each other. A significant aspect is that though Krishna is pivotal to the composition he is not over emphasized; he is depicted as one among the other beings in the serene setting. The flowing and simple lines of the forms of the composition provide a pleasant viewing experience.

Image of meditative Buddha (Mr. Chiranjeevi’s (actor) residence) - executed in rough granite- the banglore and mysore varieties. Approximate size 45’x12’, completed in jul 2002.

The brief is to design a mural on the southwest wall and to make it more functional - the concept is to depict an image of Buddha in meditation, supported by the idea of oneness-i.e., integrating the natural elements of light, air and plant material into the stone mural.

The segmental arch around the Buddha is supposed to be the section of a stupa and as the Buddha’s relics were usually buried under the stupa, the Buddha’s form in the mural is supposed to be the image evoked

Square pieces of non-reflective glass have been embedded into the stone and the various hues of the setting sun are reinforced in the Glass pieces as they are placed on the western side and as the angular punctured holes/ openings in the wall on either side of the Buddha let fresh breeze towards the center.

Mr.MADAN KARTHIK’s RESIDENCE

RADHA KRISHNA MURAL- the mural has been executed in telephnone black flammed granite and silver platted copper sheet( embossed)- the size of the mural is 4'- 6" x 6'-6"; dt. of completion dec 2010, client Mr. Madan Kaarthik, jublee hills, hyderabad, INDIA

In the atrium of madan kaarthik's residence, negotiating three floors of wall space, the buddha mural looks dramatic with the filtering light from the atrium skylight.the width varies at different levelsand the height is around 28'-0" and the avg. width is 8'-6".the medium is sadar ali flammed granite 18mm.layered.

BUDDHA UNDER BODHI TREE- the filtering of sunlight from the above(skylight) has a absorbing and soothing quality.but it also has got some technical problems. the buddha in the image has seven layers of stone panels which are struck with araldite and secured with 12mm steel rods.the load is not directly transferred onto to the ground as the mural does not start from the ground level.

some of the bodhi leaves(50%) are silver plated and etched with bodhi leaf vein pattern(skeleton with veins).

Mrs. DEEPTHI’s RESIDENCE

SKY LANTERN in MS SHEET-a staggered volute with 16 M S panels, the partly erected sculpture( 8 panels) seen in the pictures, has been completely dismantled due to structural problems, excess load, eccentricity because which the corners have twisted and got distorted.

it has been re erected and completely done using central square support, 15" x 15" in the form of a metal column and taking lateral support from the individual panels onto the central column. ill post the pics once the final finished are done. used nitric and sulphuric acids on the metal surface to achieve the texture.

A RUSTIC PHOTO FRAME with NICHES-On the mid landing wall, this welded two layered M S piece takes care of the family photos proposed in black and white in the rectangular niches to the wall level.
